At the 2019 CPA for Oil and Gas Conference, Our CEO, Dan Giurescu was joined on stage by Director of Audit, Maxim Atanassov as they discussed how blockchain is transforming industries across the globe and paving the path to better ESG reporting and audit.
The session started off with an overview of how blockchain can improve processes from customers to operations and back office, the implementation of this new technology changes the look and feel of the organization and some new roles are being developed.
The session continued with Dan explaining how blockchain evolved, who has deployed production systems and where we are still needing to grow in order to take full advantage of this technology. How will the companies that do not deploy blockchain be impacted by their partners who have? Attendees learned about the Oil and Gas Consortium from the US and their journey and discussed what is Canada’s appetite for deployment and what are the effects on our businesses and industry if we miss these opportunities?
